What are suspicious followers and activities?

The metric "Suspicious, inactive or mass followers" estimates the percentage of followers that are not valuable for advertising: (number of suspicious + number of inactive profiles) / follower count. Inactive followers show no activity on their own account or with the creators they follow; suspicious profiles usually have no profile picture, few or no posts and a generic bio. The horizontal bars compare the value with influencers of a similar size — as a rule of thumb, we recommend creators with less than 30% suspicious or mass followers.

Separately, the Suspicious Activities section flags concrete warning signs such as follow-unfollow patterns, fake followers, disabled like counts or an inactive profile. Activities are only shown if they had a significant impact on the account or continued over a longer period; old one-off events are hidden. Note: these activities are not necessarily the creator's own doing — fake followers, for example, can be bought for any account by anyone.
