Information for creators

Information under Article 14 GDPR for people whose public social media profiles are processed in the influData database.

influData operates a database of publicly accessible creator profiles. Companies and agencies use it to find and compare creators for collaborations. If you run a public profile on one of the platforms listed below, we may process data about that profile even though you never provided that data to us. This page explains which data this is, where it comes from and how you can object or request erasure.

1. Controller

weCreate Data GmbH
Obere Augartenstrasse 2/24

Email: info@infludata.com

2. Which data we process

  • Public profile details: profile name, display name, profile picture, profile description, linked website, contact details stated in the profile, country, city, language as well as follower, subscriber and post counts.
  • Public content: posts, reels, videos and stories with text, hashtags, mentions, publication time, metrics such as likes, comments, views and shares, location data where you added it to the post, and copies of the preview images.
  • Histories of these metrics, meaning repeated measurements over time.
  • Calculated and estimated values: engagement and growth rates, average and median reach, topic categories, the classification as a person or a company, language and region, demographic estimates such as the presumed gender, AI generated summaries of the public account, similarity vectors used to find comparable profiles, profile quality ratings including indications of unusual activity patterns, and estimated price ranges for collaborations.
  • Audience analyses: statistical estimates about the composition of your followers, such as countries, languages, age and gender distribution, interests and the estimated share of fake accounts.

The calculated and estimated values are estimates. They can be wrong.

3. Where the data comes from

  • From your publicly accessible profiles and posts on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Twitch and from public WhatsApp channels. We retrieve them ourselves or through service providers for retrieving public profile content.
  • Audience analyses and individual contact details come from external data providers.
  • We find profiles through the public search functions of the platforms and of external data providers, through publicly visible connections between profiles such as mentions or subscription lists, and when a customer enters a profile name in influData.

4. Purpose and legal basis

The purpose of the processing is the operation of our creator database. It gives companies and agencies a basis to search for, compare and select creators for collaborations.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to provide this research basis. For this purpose we process exclusively data that you have made publicly accessible yourself and that relates to your public and typically commercial activity. You may object to this processing at any time, see section 7.

5. Recipients

  • Customers of influData, meaning companies and agencies with access to the platform.
  • Processors acting on our behalf: hosting and storage, retrieval of public profile content, audience analyses, AI services for analysing public text and images, and product analytics.
  • Individual profiles appear in publicly accessible rankings on infludata.com. These pages can be accessed without signing in.

Individual service providers are based outside the European Union. We base these transfers on standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

6. Storage period

We store the data for as long as the profile is publicly accessible and meets the criteria for inclusion in the database. If you object to the processing or request erasure, we remove the data and add the identifiers and profile names to an exclusion list. This list prevents the profile from being collected again. It contains only the identifiers, the profile name and the date, no metrics and no analyses.

7. Objection and erasure

You may object to the processing at any time under Article 21 GDPR and request erasure under Article 17 GDPR. An informal message is sufficient:

Email: info@infludata.com
Subject: creator data

Please state the addresses of the profiles concerned, for example the link to your Instagram or TikTok profile. We confirm receipt, immediately block the profiles from further collection and display, and report back on completion within one month.

We do not require a copy of an identity document. If the assignment is not clear, we will ask. As proof it is usually sufficient to write from the email address stated in the profile or to add a short note in the profile itself.

8. Your other rights

You have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16 GDPR), erasure (Article 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR) and objection (Article 21 GDPR). Handling your request is free of charge for you.

You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority at any time. The authority responsible for us is the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40 to 42, 1030 Vienna.

9. Automated decision making and profiling

We do not take decisions based solely on automated processing within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you. The calculated and estimated values listed in section 2 constitute profiling within the meaning of Article 4(4) GDPR. The decision whether to enter into a collaboration is taken solely by the respective company, not by influData. Further details are set out in our privacy policy under section 17.
