influData handles duplicates at two levels:
- Duplicate profiles in a collection cannot occur in the first place: when you add creators who are already in the target collection, they are skipped automatically and the app shows how many entries were already there. To remove creators, select them in the opened collection and delete them from the list.
- Overlapping audiences between creators are analyzed with the Overlap feature (Your Overlaps in the Collections area). You select between 2 and 10 creators from the same platform, and influData compares the people who comment on their content; the results are usually ready within a few minutes.
The overlap dashboard shows total commenters (sum across the selected creators, shared people counted multiple times), unique commenters (deduplicated people), and the overlap (total minus unique, the audience shared by two or more creators), plus a pairwise comparison for every pair. This tells you the actual deduplicated active reach of a creator set. Creating an overlap requires the audience-overlap feature and 1 report credit for every creator whose audience report is not unlocked yet; creators without usable data (for example without public comments) are excluded with a note.
