What is the Instagram post frequency?

The post frequency normalizes a creator's publishing activity to posts per week. It covers feed posts and reels and helps distinguish consistently active creators from accounts that post only sporadically.

For campaign planning, a stable frequency means predictable placement opportunities.

How it is calculated: influData takes the creator's last 12 posts and averages the time between each post and the next older one; the result is shown as posts per week. Reels and Stories have their own frequency scores in the Activity section (Reel Frequency, Story Frequency). The horizontal bars compare the value with creators of a similar follower count.

How to read it: a good creator should be active and not post too rarely, but also not more than once or twice a day. With more frequent posting the audience will not see every post, and single posts lose impact.
