A brand mention means that a content piece of the creator @-mentions the brand's username in the caption or tags. We show all mentions found in posts, reels and stories — regardless of whether money changed hands. A mention can be a paid partnership, a gifted product or simply an organic recommendation, so the number of mentions is not the same as the number of paid collaborations. The sponsored-posts metric on the Quality Score tab uses a 180-day window, the Brand Value tab covers the last 365 days.
For each mentioned brand you see the number of content pieces, the estimated reach and media value, the time frame of the collaboration (first to last mentioning post) and whether it is currently active (content within the last 30 days). Mentions whose captions contain typical ad keywords are additionally flagged as confirmed ads. For profiles with a large volume of analyzed content, a brand is only listed once at least three mentioning content pieces exist, so that one-off tags don't show up as partnerships.
One caveat for stories: the story mentions listed on a profile are not necessarily complete. Stories are only visible for 24 hours, and a profile's brand mention list can only contain the stories that influData captured while they were live. Complete story coverage can therefore only be expected for creators you actively track in a Campaign; the Watchlist also captures the stories of the creators you follow there. Posts and reels are not affected by this, since they stay online and can be analyzed later.
