How do inbound forms work?

An inbound form is a public application form linked to one of your collections: interested creators fill it out themselves, and their submissions land directly in influData. You create and manage it in the Inbound area of an opened collection (or while creating a new collection).

  • You customize the form with a title, welcome message, the requested fields (and which of them are required), your logo, a privacy notice, the submit-button text, and a thank-you message.
  • The form gets a unique public URL that you can embed on your website or link in your social bios. You can also set notification emails so your team is informed about new submissions.
  • Submissions appear as inbound contacts in the collection. You can accept a submission — the creator is then added to the collection — or reject it, which hides it.

The inbound form is a plan-dependent feature and may not be included in every package.

Step by step: open the collection, click the collection options menu and choose Create Inbound Form; once a form exists, the entry reads Change Inbound Form. The setup dialog is organized in tabs, with a live preview of the form next to it:

  • Title & Welcome Message: pick your brand handle (it becomes part of the public form link; if you want to change it later, contact us via chat), then enter the form title and a short welcome message.
  • Fields: add the fields you want to collect and mark which of them are required. You can create custom fields right here, with types such as text, number, date, yes/no, single or multiple selection and file upload.
  • Branding: upload your logo (PNG or SVG works best, maximum 5 MB) and edit the privacy notice, the submit-button text and the thank-you message.
  • Notifications: add one or more email addresses that are notified about new submissions.
  • AI Analyze: add yes/no questions (for example "Does the creator have more than 10k followers?"); the answers are shown directly in the list of submissions.

A title and at least one requested field are required before you can create the form. Your plan includes a certain number of submissions per form per month; submissions above that limit are not lost. If the menu entry is greyed out, inbound forms are not part of your package: just ask us via the in-app chat.
