How do I set up content tracking (keywords, hashtags, mentions)?

Content tracking is configured in the campaign's Keywords & Mentions Manager. There you add the terms that tell influData which posts belong to your campaign.

  • Four term types are available: hashtag, mention (@account), text (free keyword or phrase in the caption/title), and URL (link in the post).
  • You don't need to worry about the # or @ symbols or capitalization — matching normalizes the values automatically.
  • The manager shows each tracked term with its type, match count, latest activity, and the date it was added; terms can be edited or removed at any time.

Changes apply retroactively from the start of your campaign and affect your current dashboards immediately — so you can refine the tracking setup while the campaign is running. Optionally mark a term as a brand term (your own brand account) so posts that only mention the brand go to a review queue instead of straight into the campaign.

Can a term be both a hashtag and a mention? No. Every tracked term has exactly one type: hashtag, mention, text or URL. You choose the type explicitly when you add the term (you only enter the term itself, the # or @ symbol is handled automatically), so the type is never inferred from a symbol. If you want to catch both #brand and @brand, add two terms, one of type hashtag and one of type mention.
