Reel engagement measures the interactions (likes, comments, shares, saves) on a creator's reels. Because Instagram publishes play counts for reels, the engagement can be related to the actual plays — which makes it comparable across creators regardless of follower count.
The profile value aggregates the engagement of the creator's most recent reels.
In the Quality Score, the mini score Reels: Engagement is defined as (reel likes + reel comments) divided by reel plays. This mini score counts likes and comments only; other interactions such as shares and saves are not part of the formula. The horizontal bars compare the value with creators of a similar follower count.
How to read it: good reel engagement points to entertaining, engaging videos that viewers are less likely to skip.
