The AI lookalike search (Lookalikes in the main navigation) builds a list of creators who are similar to seed profiles you provide. In the Lookalike Studio you select 1–20 seed creators; influData then fuses several similarity signals — profile embeddings, follower connections, audience lookalikes, past collaboration partners and creators from the same niche — into one ranked candidate list. Each candidate comes with a match rate and explanation chips showing why it was picked.
The result is first created as a draft (kept for 24 hours) that you can review and refine with pre-filters — e.g. only lookalikes of a certain gender or country — before saving it as a permanent lookalike list. Lookalike lists are currently supported for Instagram. You can also start a lookalike list from the smart search bar, e.g. "build a creator lookalike based on this brand account" for creators who collaborated with a brand.
What the match rate means: in a Lookalike Studio list, the match rate shows how strongly a creator matches your seed set compared with the best match in the list. The top result is set to 100% and every other candidate is expressed relative to it. It is a combined score fed by several signals (similar content, follower connections, audience lookalikes, collaborations, the same niche, and how many of your seeds an account matches), not a share of a single metric. Use the chips on each row (e.g. Similar content, Follower overlap, Collaborated) to see why a creator was picked, and compare match rates only within the same list, because 100% always refers to that list's best match. A higher match rate simply means the creator is closer to the profiles you already know work for you.
Lookalikes from brand accounts (creator base): besides the Lookalike Studio you can create a list with Build Lookalike-List by AI (for example on your dashboard under "Your lookalike lists"). There you choose between Creators (add 3 to 20 creators, which are used directly as the base) and Brand Collaborations (add up to 3 brand accounts). In this mode, influData does not build lookalikes of the brand accounts themselves: it first identifies creators who collaborated with the brand(s) and uses them as the creator base. The lookalikes are then built from this base, each shown with a match rate to it. That is why the brand accounts show up neither in the creator base nor in the results. When you open a finished list, you can switch between the lookalikes and the creator base. This flow is available for Instagram accounts.
In the Lookalike Studio the logic is different: brand seeds return similar brand accounts (a brand lookalike list), creator seeds return similar creators. If you want creators who resemble a brand's collaboration partners, use Build Lookalike-List by AI with Brand Collaborations.
